Arriving in Halifax

We arrived in Halifax at 12.30pm after a very eventful trip!  and made our way to our hotel for the next two nights "The Marriott Harbourfront" a long travelling day behind us we fell into a scrummy bed and slept well until about 6.30am.
Most other crews had arrived in Halifax over the past few days from one direction or the other and had already collected their cars and were already prepared for the start, so we had a little catching up to do today to make sure we too were ready for the off in the morning. The whole day turned out to be a complete wash out as far as the weather was concerned! rain fell throughout the day and Halifax was not looking at its best so we were at least able to sort things out in the car without the guilty feeling that we should have taken the opportunity to explore what Halifax may have to offer!
The little car was not keen at first to play when we collected her from the holding area, but after a few coughs and splutters and a little persuasion we soon got her running again - phew relief!!!!!
On route back to the hotel we fuelled up and then calibrated the Branz (our trip meter) to a measured distance before returning to the hotel for a bite of lunch and a final rally briefing.

Car 25 and crew are ready for the off
